WHAT IS KIKI BOUBA?

The KiKi Bouba effect forms the basis of human perception.It is a famous and an influential example of cross-modal correspondence.It is the pairing of sounds (words: Kiki & Bouba) to visual features (shapes: Jagged & Bulbous) Drum cymbals typically sound Kiki; dark chocolate tastes Kiki,bright lights appear Kiki, a shape with sharp and spiky corners seems Kiki; while a flute sounds Bouba, milk chocolate tastes Bouba, dim lights appear Bouba and shape with more rounded, curved corners seems Bouba. Our senses influence each other. Even though the words KiKi Bouba are nonsense, the theory echoes our belief that humans perceive what they hear into a corresponding image, and therefore we help make your brand communicate corresponding to the image it wishes to create.
